I think Robert Plant felt disrespectful that Jimmy Page played Led Zeppelin songs with another person.
Its like he took over and remade the band, when they agreed they wouldn't reform without John Bonham,
Using Jason in the place of his father is acceptable.
When Bonham died after other tragedies Plant was too hurt.
I think it reminds him of the pain he felt.
Maybe Jimmy Page didn't suffer as much as Plant.
Plant felt hurt, like he was replaced by Coverdale. Maybe was their intention.
Jimmy Page should had asked John Paul Jones and Plant to play Zeppelin songs.
He can play anything but not Zeppelin songs.
Even the fans accept and respect their decision. Because for us Led Zeppelin is the 4 of them.
Even Jason accepts that. He won't ever try to replace his father and he has talent, pedigree.
