  1. I bought the Mindcrime CD when it was first released and 35 years later this is still one of my all-time favorite albums. Nothing since has come close to this perfection.

  2. Operation Mindcrime is an absolute masterpiece. Scott Rockenfield is a beast of a drummer and never go the credit he deserved.

  5. People say Queensryche went downhill after this because Chris DeGarmo quit. They ran out of ideas while DeGarmo still were still in the band. Who is to blame? Everyone in the band? For me personally this is the most perfect album ever made.

  19. It’s tough that this is 32 years ago.. I got into them in ‘95 .. didn’t have the chance to experience this back in the day.

I saw Dream Theater play M2 in its entirety- if I had to pick my all time fav concept album.. LivECrime is powerful.

  22. 1988, I had just went into debt having a ridiculous system installed in my 70 Mach 1, CD player, Kenwood amp, components with crossovers and two Pyle Subs in the trunk. When the single Operation Mindcrime started I FELT it and realized how much I loved these guys. To this day I can't listen to this album without Beats studio or in my car CRANKED and I am 56.

  26. I saw them at LaMour East in Queens NY back in 1987….I was 10 feet from the band. Geoff Tate vocals were so powerful that certain segments of songs he did't even use his Mic…..It was around Valentines day and we were packed in there like sardines but it was absolutely fucking amazing! I would've never thought they'd play a club like that but they did and I was fucking there…..

It was the best concept album I heard when I was a college student. In my opinion, it's on par with the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. And his voice was amazing! ! It should have been evaluated more.

  32. Tate went through a period of issues with his voice, the guy just aged and it was going to change some but after hearing him recently he has returned very close to form. The guy is in his 60s and delivering Tate-like vocals. They need to do another show with DeGarmo in Seattle while they still can. Good Grief Geoff Tate was the icing on the cake of a fantastic group.
