  1. I'm not sure either one of those are better. Especially not Black Crowes. I am a musician in a high profile fashion so your comment is rather trite.

  2. Watch Brandon Still's keyboard work during "What comes Naturally". Beautiful. Brandon doesn't get enough "star" time; nor Paul, Brit, Richard. Benji does get a few moments. I'll keep suggesting each member of the band really gets a good long moment showing their skills. Love Charlie, yet I'm for sharing the glory! And those chic white jeans in Paris are perfect. Style; chic! Remember even Mick is not in the front of the stage all the time. Thoughts fans?

  6. So brilliant. Watch "The Collection" Gibson guitars interview with Charlie Nov. 2023. See all the guitars he plays. They do not stay under the bed. You will appreciate his genius even more. What a concert. Merci again and again.

  7. The Whippoorwill is pure gold; pure poetry. Harvard University should do a class on Charlie's lyrics rather than that Taylor gal. I took a class in Bonn, Germany on Bob Dylan in 1970! Now that was poetry and stories too. Pull up the lyrics fans of each BBS song. Worthy of a masterclass in writing songs. Whippoorwill is such a beautiful song. One to cherish. Thank you Charlie!

Worth the time… I was mesmerized! See the guitars he plays and takes on all the tours. What a magic man. What a show it was in Paris even though Brit was in the hospital and I'm sure they were all concerned. This show went on and oh yes it was stupendous. So so so so beautiful Blackberry Smoke. Can't wait for Sept. 2024 and Feb. 2024 for the new album. Rock on. Merci.

  14. Typos: She sang my song and called me by name (not nam). correction for the comment below. Darn. called me by name. Grandma said: stop that; sit down; don't do that. Think that is what Charlie meant. Charlie remembered that forever. I sure remember my grandparents doing that, too. Thank goodness they did.

  15. Just know the Whippoorwill is a song Charlie wrote in homage to his grandmother. It is the most beautiful song. "She sang my song and called me by nam". These are words from the heart. Treasure your parents, grandparents. I quoted words from this song at a funeral for a long-time friend when she passed away. Charlie says it like no one else can. Thank you Charlie Starr.
You sewed my years together like a patchwork quilt

Your bougainvillea's bloomed it'll never wilt.
Lessons I remember and some that I forgot
Are precious and pure like one honeysuckle drop.

Though I know just what went with her
    She's always here with me
    Always here with me

In these times of hatred and division: listen to the Whippoorwill. It brings some calm and peace to the world.

  16. For guitar geeks and BBS fans just to hear Charlie talk: the Collection https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP4DrvmdhSk&ab_channel=GibsonTV is a freaking brilliant interview and you see so many of the guitars Charlies plays (not in his cupboard). Brilliant. I continue to be astonished, impressed, simply in love with and in awe of Charlie Starr. Ya'll book tickets to a live show near you soon! (Watch the interview for the story on Ya'll) Blackberry Smoke rock 'n roll. See you in Paris, France 28 Sept. 2024!!!! My thanks one more time spaceodyssee2000. Would love to meet you at the Sept. 2024 concert! Would love to meet all the fans at the upcoming (well, next year…) concert.

  25. Re-listening for the nth time. Paid special attention to "Waiting for the Thunder". Paris we "done good" singing the lyrics! BBS often do this song, but Charlie just seems to know when he can bring in the audience. It doesn't work every time. But, wow, we rocked Paris. We know those words and he said we sang beautifully! Thank you Charlie. And spaceodyssee2000 another big merci beaucoup to you for the concert filming and posting. You have my forever lasting gratitude.
