Having never seen the Dead live this was instantly addictive for me. Entered HS in '72 and was a HUGE fan first listen. The tones outa that Strat and ES are so clear. Cool how the Europe '72 audio is synced with the video so perf. I've played most of that set on my guitar mostly noodling around over the years. Still have my GD song book w/Working Man's and American Beauty from the 70's. Sweet edit and belated thank you! PMH…those are my intials too! 🙂
Bless the techy guys out there who know how to do magic like this, thank you! Europe '72, if I had a time machine……If there's anyone out there who hasn't yet had the pleasure of hearing the Europe '72 Good Ol' Grateful Deadcasts, then what a treat you still have in store for you! A brilliant social and music history of an extraordinary tour.
Discovered the Dead in 1970 and still listening to them a lot today. Lived 60 miles from London and caught the 1st Wembley and 1st and 4th Lyceum. Seeing this great footage brings back so many wonderful memories of those times. All these guys so dear to my heart.
I still remember the first time I jeard Europe '72 i was in the 7th grade it blew my mind favorite Dead album of all time still gets me every time keep on truckin what a long strange trip it's been ✌🏻
September 21, 1972…Philadelphia Spectrum…An amazing 4 hour performance. 3 grams of Temple Ball black hash and a pint of Jack Daniels, which was shared by 3 of us. A terrific Evening With The Grateful Dead!!!
2:52 Jerry hits a clam on his M&BM solo and there's nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile….
Man, Phil sounds absolutely fantastic on this upload.
