  10. As great as SRV played in his early years before he sobered up & got clean ,he played ferocious afterwards like here with Jeff Beck . May these two Guitar wizards be jamming like this when my time comes to go to the great “ Here -after” . R.I.P. to both .

  13. Two distince forces of nature together. More guitar than you would think needs to be on stage, yet they are in sympatici in a breataking display of Wizaardy and total Magic.

  17. There were guitarists. Then there was Stevie Ray Vaughn. Never, Ever did I hear anything that literally brought me to tears EVERYTIME I heard Stevie play!! This man was a force of nature that there isn't definition for. Words cannot describe what he brought us with his raw , mind numbing talent. This was a gift sent from heaven and it's to heaven he's returned.

  19. I saw this tour at MSG in NYC. When the show ended I ran uptown and caught the Parliament blues festival. Fabulous t-birds were on the bill, so to pretty much nobody's surprise, Jeff and Stevie walked out for their set. Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Stevie, Jeff, and the t-birds as "the backup band" for a roughly hour long finale set… yeah, that's what life could toss you in the late 80s, lol

  24. Such a contrast. Both are legends, absolute masters at their craft. Yet, one has a guitar that looks like it was involved in a train wreck, and the other is pristine. I saw a video of Jeff showing his guitar collection, there was not a scratch on any of them.

  27. I've got this rare live version added to my burned live Steve Ray C. D.!
Right before the song he says "Ya'll ready for this?"
This is one of my favorite rare gem rock and roll songs!
I was absolutely delighted when I saw the song title in the list of Stevie Ray's live songs, and automatically decided to add it on.
Ironically enough, I just happen to be listening to Kenny Wayne Shepherd!
Chris Layton is currently his drummer.😊
I also have every Stevie Ray live song ever recorded.
I think Tin Pan Alley was his favorite song. I've got like 6 different live versions of that song in my collection.😅
And of course, I have all of his studio albums.
For a while, I even had a bootleg version of live footage playing for Mary Lou Barton before he went solo (Goin' To San Antonio).
I didn't really get into Stevie Ray until 1988, thanks to my older brother. From there it just snowballed into getting into B.B. King,Johnny Winter, Albert Collins, Little Joe Blue, Corey Stevens, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Gary Moore and even Pat Benatar and Eric Clapton put out 2 ass-kicking blues albums in the mid 1990s!!
Ironically enough, I already was in love with the J. Geil's Live Full House and ZZ Top Deguello albums, before I got into Stevie Ray!😅

  34. I was blessed to see this tour in Dallas Texas… I'd seen Jeff before on "The British are coming" Tour with Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton but nothing compares to Stevie Ray…nothing… Because I pass his cemetery every single day when going to work, I miss him continually.
