Catherine Goldberg i wanted to show you guys my favorite dispensary i realized a lot of people are
starting their cannabis journey and don’t really know what to expect and I wanted to demystify the
entire experience and show you that it’s really not as scary as you might think so welcome
to MMD in North Hollywood they are fabulous um this is my local dispensary where I come
on a pretty regular basis and I just wanted to show you how it’s organized so in case
you want to start shopping for cannabis you’ll know exactly what you’re doing so
as we’ve discussed the sativa hybrid indica dichconomy might not be the most accurate but
it is how stores are organized and how menus are organized so MMD starts with the sativa
the energizing cannabis strains over here um actually they changed how they organize stuff so
I think these are the budget cannabis strains okay because we have Pacific Stone which is really
fabulous they’re grown in Santa Barbara outside um they start at $27 for an ETH so that’s really
kind of the cheapest you’re going to get and then so they do have sativa hybrid and indica strains
depending on how you want to feel another budget option is Revalry they’re pretty fantastic too
sometimes the buds are a little bit dry but as all cannabis is we have to just be grateful um and
then let’s move over here then in case you want to stock up and buy more than just an eighth um
those same brands come in full ounces so Pacific Stone has ounces Revalry has ounces and Revalry
actually has a new brand called Field Trip which are small little buds but you get more bang for
your buck so in case you’re trying to save money that’s a great option um let’s see what are some
other brands around here that I recognize do they still have They do have Autumn brands okay Autumn
brands are fantastic because it’s grown outside in Santa Barbara and they don’t use pesticides they
use ladybugs to keep um their their plants clean so I’m a big fan of autumn i like their genetics
i like their sativas i’ve been really happy with them um and then let’s keep on moving so they have
a ton of flower options as you can see um okay and then these are the pre-rolls so in case you just
want to grab something that’s easy and on the- go all these brands are pre-rolls and you’re going to
it seems like the average price is about between on the low end $22 for a pack of maybe five or
seven and then you’re going all the way up to in case realry in case you really want to stock
up you can get a 100 joints for just kidding 56 joints for $150 so there really are options for
everyone i feel like that’s like the Costco size of weed and then if you want to get like really
good weed CBX is out here um I’ll show you some CBX flour also but there are a ton of pregroll
options as well and MMD actually has their own brand so if you want a 14 pack for $60 that’s
pretty fantastic um then you’ll notice they have all the edibles um edibles are obviously very
very popular out here i’ll just point out two of my favorite ones if you see the lost farm up there
that’s what I was working with last week those are strain specific so that’s a Jack Herrer and then
they add in uh THCV for focus and energy but they also have I heard they had a Durban poison um
strain specific one if you really want to that’s why I love Lost Farms is because it’s not just
like isolate um it’s they’re actually growing specific strains that they know about and then
they’re turning it into edibles so I like that a lot um you’ll also see that like the sleep edibles
are pretty popular right now it’s combination of CBN THC and CBD um I think Heavy hitters makes
another energizing one um and Good Tide kind of looks like a bougie brand but I heard they’re
really good and they have a CBG gummy um CBG is especially good for stomach issues as well as
for focus but it’s a little bit less speedy than THCB um they have these budget edibles by Fruit
i have not had those they don’t look that good um and then let’s move into cartridges so if you need
to be discreet and you can’t smell like weed and edibles are not your thing cartridges are fabulous
um one of my favorite brands is Bloom they’ve been around for at least a decade um their stuff is
clean it’s tested everything is tested but you can tell what’s really fabulous and what’s a little
bit less fabulous raw Garden is also a really wonderful brand um the only brand I actively
avoid and tell people to act actively avoid is Stizzy um they are facing a lot of lawsuits
right now and just really like not the direction that I think the cannabis industry really wants
to be going in so between Bloom Raw Garden and yeah I’d stick with those to be perfectly honest
those are the ones I like and those usually they have like a draar or a sour diesel they do have
energizing ones too um great okay cool now this other cannabis is the high-end um cannabis
clayborn is a fabulous brand it’s on the expensive side and it’s phenomenal so it’s well
worth it um I find that when you pay a little bit more sometimes the high is just so much better
so you end up smoking a lot less um Clayborn also often has deals on small buds so in case
you want to stock up um and then just one thing that I find interesting is because I asked once
and I said “Are people actually paying $74 for CBX for 3.5 grams of weed?” And they said they
are and I do like CBX i’ve talked about CBX but $74 is absurd so but more power to them great
and then so then you have more edibles this is kind of a repeat of edibles um then you have the
concentrates so it seems like they actually have a pretty nice selection of concentrates ranging
from about $20 up to 60 um and it seems like they have a pretty big variety so whether you’re
looking for something energizing or sedating you can find it um I’ve had a lot of good luck
with Bear Labs um they are expensive but it’s worth it they’re a really great brand out
of California and I think this is their um sale section do they have anything over here
right now sometimes you can stock up on good deals um like for example let’s see well for example
like Autumn brands for a quarter it’s $90 and it’s really good weed so I think that’s pretty a
good deal um I’ve never been behind the counter before this is exciting and then I’ll show you one
last thing just to get the entire landscape but um the drinks have been really popular as well
so Paps makes some sort of cannabis drink now i know they used to make alcohol but there’s a uh
daytime guava seltzer that has a THCV in it so it is energizing it’s not like having a Red Bull
but it’s energizing so whether you’re a cannabis connoisseur or a novice MMD has something for
you i think their prices are totally reasonable and within like a one mile of where we
are in California there are like a hundred illegal shops that are selling products that
have not been tested that could be contaminated so I really suggest that if you’re concerned
about your health and your safety you come to a licensed shop you pay a bit more in tax
but you know you’re getting the right product so I hope if you’re in California you’ll stop
in MMD it’s fabulous tell them that Katherine from Senior Savvy sent you probably hook you up
