Beckley Retreats are guided by a multidisciplinary team of facilitators whose backgrounds span psychotherapy, medicine, the arts, and contemplative traditions. The retreats are hosted in thoughtfully chosen locations in Jamaica and the Netherlands.

As part of the Beckley ecosystem, which builds on the pioneering work of its co-founder, Amanda Feilding. Dubbed the “Queen of Psychedelics” by author Amanda Siebert, Fielding founded the Beckley Foundation in 1998—a think tank and NGO dedicated to furthering psychedelic research and advocating for policy reform. At Beckley Retreats, the goal is to “bridge the latest scientific research with ancient wisdom traditions to create the richest possible experience for participants.”
According to Beckley Retreats, the preparation begins with a four-week virtual program. The month leading up to the retreat marks the beginning of a supported journey with group sessions, one-on-one support, guided activities, and resources. Next comes the immersion of a five-night retreat. Participants enjoy getting to know one another before the journey.
Far away from the day-to-day, in a serene place with lovely people, the retreat is a powerful time for growth. Two psilocybin ceremonies, breathwork, meditation, and other transformational practices occur for an optimal experience.
“88% of our guests describe the experience as the most, or one of the most, meaningful of their lives,” said Vian Brown Morales, COO of Beckley Retreats. “That speaks to the power of stepping away from daily life and entering a supportive space in nature. We take great pride in the care, respect, and deep attention we bring to every element of our programs, creating an environment where people can feel safe, supported, and open to meaningful personal growth.”
The retreat is followed by a six-week virtual integration program which includes weekly group sessions, short daily practices, and science-backed techniques to help sustain and assimilate the experience. The integration phase helps participants sustain positive change while maintaining connection with their retreat cohort and the broader Beckley community.

During their stay, guests can participate in a variety of wellness activities designed to support relaxation and integration. Mornings may begin with yoga or meditation, followed by time to walk to the on-site private waterfall or swim in the pool, overlooking the lush jungle canopy and the ocean. Participants can also explore the property through guided hikes and equine therapy across the fertile grounds, encouraging a deeper connection with the environment and themselves.
Wake’s retreats combine traditional wellness practices with advanced scientific technology. The program integrates cutting-edge tools, such as Neurofeedback EEG technology, to analyze baseline and post-ceremony effects, as well as daily wellness routines provided within the WakeWell platform and mobile app. These technologies are used in collaboration with experienced clinicians and behavioral health specialists to support a comprehensive approach to mental and physical well-being.

According to Wake Network CEO Nick Murray, an approach that bridges ancient wisdom with the latest neuroscience research helps participants better understand the connection between their mental and physical health. All collected data remains strictly confidential and adheres to international privacy standards. Following the retreat, participants receive a detailed report explaining their results and offering guidance for continued personal growth and wellness.
Participation in the research component is entirely optional, and guests may choose to remain anonymous or opt out. However, Wake maintains that voluntary participation helps improve outcomes for individuals while contributing to the broader advancement of psychedelic science and accessibility.
Wake also emphasizes sustainability and local collaboration in its work. Locally grown mushrooms used in the program are cultivated by a network of regional mycology experts, supporting community empowerment while maintaining high-quality production standards.
