I can't get over this song. Hits me so hard. Grew up dirt poor in Sweden and worked my way to a good life and this song just remind me about the core values in life
63 now, reminds me of $2.18/hour on a loading dock, a girl who wasn't ready to be mother nor wife, my eldest son, and the trailer we called home. The girl left, I was a single "mother" for the next ten years, on top of it all. Hell, I'd only be 45 if it hadn't worn me down so. "No shame in being poor" is right – the shame is in staying poor. There's always a way out/up – never give up. Thanks for the memories. MEL
I’ve seen several videos from this setting, does anyone have the full concert? I just love it and would very much like to watch the whole show in one take. I can’t seem to locate it
Ok I understand it's cool that we can all relate to the music and that's a huge part of fandom and culture/the reason we support and love the artists that we do. Like I cried when I heard this song. That's how close it hit… But I would just like for once to see a comment where we try to see the world from from the artist's eyes, try to understand his pain and what was happening in his life as he was writing and composing the music, ya know? After all, wouldn't it be fair to credit the fact that he most likely wrote this song because he is proud of his culture and background… His own unique story, and he wants the world to understand why? Do you think he wrote it to see how many people could relate to it and read their sob stories when the song is about HIM and HIS family? No. He did not. Fans and relations are a blessing to him. Extra. Something he is thankful for. People he wants to know and understand him… Not a contest to see how many he can get by writing some generic pain song so every one can put their own two cents and tears in. This is HIS pain and love. Not y'all's. Geez… I swear, it's like the guy who gets on facebook talking about how much pain he's in from the loss of a loved one, but he's clearly trying to get attention or raise clout off the death of someone else. Which is just downright disgusting, and if closer attention is paid…ppl will begin to understand exactly what I'm talking about. More often than not, you got some guy or girl all over FB every time someone does…talking about how close they were or they were the last person to see them or they were their best friend out of any ody, knew em better all that B's…and most the time the person claiming all that BS ain't even shed a single tear or mourned a single minute. Not every one cries when they mourn I understand that. Ppl mourn in their own ways. Not saying the heart can't be heavy if tears don't fall. It definitely can be. But that's exactly what all these comments look like… A bunch of people making his pain and love about themselves…instead of just relating to it a bit, and then illustrating a perception or opinion that shows you actually even give a damn about where the artist is coming from. Be more selfless people. Damn.
Maxed out my college card to to rent a hotel room for our honeymoon. After the wedding her parents didn't come to, first place we stayed was a twin bed in my friend's garage. 15 years, 5 kids on earth, 2 in heaven and a lot of "don't know how we're gona make it this month but God always shows up." Now we have more than enough to give away. By God's grace, we get to be trees that provide shade for others. Work like everything depends on you, pray like everything depends on God…she's still hot as hell by the way 😉
This song reminds me of my parents and my childhood… I grew up in a trailer and my parents worked so hard to make sure I never felt or was called “trailer trash”…. They still live in the very same home and now it’s my turn to work to try and get them out of it

This song is about so many people. Working hard, doing the right thing. Unsung American heroes keeping this place running.

They are so good. I consider them a modern day CCR.
Esse cara tem uma voz muito boa e coloca sentimento nela .
Best version of this song!! Raw performance. Haunting violin and vocals.

God hes so good, he knows music and it's so good to hear his sound. Real music. Awesome.
This is my life, line by line right now. It tells my story and keeps me humble. This song brings tears to my eyes. This trailer really is our home.
