The Food and Drug Administration is seeking a contractor to monitor social media sites like TikTok, Instagram and Reddit for conversations about marijuana and hemp products, and to conduct a survey of cannabis dispensary customers to track “product preferences, desired effects, medical conditions, occasions, frequency and history of use, average purchases, and preferred dosages.”
A new poll of Massachusetts voters shows they oppose a measure to roll back marijuana legalization, 55 percent to 33 percent—with no demographic in the survey giving it majority backing and the proposal having the least support out of all nine initiatives on the November ballot.
South By Southwest (SXSW) is allowing people to vote on proposed cannabis and psychedelics panels for the 2027 festival—including sessions focused on THC drinks, specific psilocybin mushroom strains and the link between psychedelics and AI.
A new study found that two-thirds of people who consume cannabis-infused THC beverages drink less alcohol—with additional benefits such as improved sleep, less stress and reduced pain.
